Around works just as well. Following advice from my incomparable mate and some from my HR rep (who gets on the scoreboard for the first time with this one), I chose to not set up the opportunity for a confrontation, and it seems to have worked to my benefit. There being nothing to discuss suggests that "just let it lie" (thank you, Sally Albright!) is a perfectly viable option. And thank you, T square, for getting the message across with your unique brand of fatherly drill Sargent communication skills. Thanks for being on message, whew, what a relief!!

Ah, the Human Condition! There's so much about Here that can make it irresistible (the watercourse in Bourton-On-The-Water, gentle chats with M cozied up under the covers, vast etceteras). Just what did we do to ourselves to add the stuff that makes you dread getting up on Mondays (PE rants, more etc's. than I like to think about)? And why all the suffering, for heaven's sake (pun not intended)? 50 some years of sermons later and I'm no smarter about it. So for posterity sake, and for whomever cares to comment (gulp, I guess): I know that God cares about my soul and that part of me that recycles (or gets to play SimCity through eternity while watching time lapse videos from Sydney Harbour), but I don't get why I have to slog through the things in life I find so horrid (and, I think, have by now finally begun to affect my potential for longevity) without even an apparent flick of His eye. Arff.
